Anti Aging Advice

It’s a fact of life that we’re all getting older. But that doesn’t mean that we have to put up with it. Here is some helpful anti aging advice that you can use to keep yourself looking and feeling younger.

Watch what you eat

Certain foods will help to keep your body healthy. Eating fresh foods on a regular basis is a good start. If you can afford it, organic food is generally thought to be worth the extra money as it doesn’t come with all the additives that are used in many modern food production techniques. Fruit and vegetables provide lots of minerals and vitamins that our body uses to keep itself healthy and young looking. Make sure that you are topping up the vitamins such as vitamin C that aren’t retained by your body.

Watch what you drink

I know, that glass of wine tastes nice. And in moderation it’s almost certainly OK. But drinking too much alcohol can put a strain on your body and you won’t just feel worse for the wear, you’ll start to look it. Caffeine is another recent drug that too many of us “use” too often. Be careful with all those coffees and colas and consider cutting down.

Mind the sun

We need the sun and it helps our bodies to create things such as vitamin D in our bodies. But too much sunlight can be bad for your skin and your health. Cover up, wear a sun hat and make sure that the protection factor on your sun cream is sufficiently strong. Be careful when substituting fake tanning for real tanning as well – read up on the different views about these treatments.

Think about air quality

This could be your own cigarette smoke or maybe the second hand smoke of people you associate with. Or it could be the exhaust fumes from nearby traffic. It may be worth investing in an air purifier to keep the air within your home at a better quality – that’s certainly a cheaper option than moving house and could be enough to tip the balance in your favor.

Get some exercise

That old chestnut! But it’s true – exercise helps keep your body in good condition and also helps to keep things like your weight in control. You don’t necessarily need to go to the gym – there are plenty of exercises that you can do without special equipment.
